At your parents’ home visit, a certified occupational therapist or specialist will spend 2 hours with your family, in-person or virtually. They’ll perform a home assessment based on your parents’ unique goals and home. A few common goals include fallproofing the home, improving accessibility and mobility throughout the home, verifying there’s adequate lighting for visibility, and generally ensuring comfort for all day-to-day activities.
Families are welcome at the visit. They can be as involved as they would like in getting their parents and Ruby acquainted.
After the visit, we’ll provide your parents with a personalized set of actionable steps, a clear roadmap for the future, and specific recommendations for products and updates to ensure the home is safe and comfortable for years to come.
